How to Protect Repaired Concrete
Follow curing and use instructions for the repair performed, keep drainage working, limit unnecessary deicing exposure, address standing water and watch for renewed movement or cracking. Maintenance cannot prevent every future change, but it can reduce avoidable exposure.
What to Look For
Photograph the entire affected area as well as close views of cracks, edges, joints and elevation changes. Note whether the condition is changing, whether water collects nearby and whether a previous repair has failed.
When to Get It Evaluated
If the damage is spreading, creating a trip point, holding water, showing movement or getting worse after winter, an evaluation can help determine whether targeted repair still makes sense.
