Fix the Damaged Area. Keep the Sound Floor.

When the slab is still sound but the surface is tired, rough, stained or weathered, floor repair can restore a cleaner, more uniform finish without automatically replacing the concrete underneath.

Start With the Slab

Floor Repair fixes the surface. It does not hide a failing slab.

The best candidates have concrete worth keeping underneath the worn exterior. We evaluate condition first so the finish matches the repair the slab actually needs.

What Floor Repair Changes

Think of the existing slab as the structure - and the surface as the part we rebuild.

Preparation matters. Loose or unsound material has to be addressed before a repaired floor system can perform. The goal is not to cover damage. It is to create a properly prepared, bonded finish over concrete that is suitable to keep.

Where It Can Make Sense

Concrete floor damage shows up in different spaces.

We match the repair recommendation to how the concrete is used, exposed and currently deteriorating.

The Transformation

The finished surface is only as good as what happens before it.

Our evaluation follows the concrete from existing condition to finished surface instead of treating floor repair like a cosmetic shortcut.

01

Evaluate

Determine whether the slab is a sensible floor repair candidate.

02

Repair

Address appropriate cracks, pits and localized deterioration first.

03

Prepare

Create the clean, sound surface needed for the floor repair system.

04

Complete

Finish the selected repair and verify the surrounding floor remains serviceable.

Built Around Iowa Conditions

Winter damage changes the floor repair conversation.

Freeze-thaw cycles, moisture and deicing exposure can leave concrete flaking, scaling, pitted or rough. We look at how deep that deterioration goes before recommending a surface treatment.

Straight Answers

Before you decide how to repair the floor.

Can an older concrete floor be repaired?

Often, yes - when enough sound concrete remains and the slab is suitable for the floor repair system. Age alone does not decide it.

Can a cracked concrete floor be repaired?

Some cracks can be addressed as part of preparation, but active movement or more serious slab problems need to be evaluated first.

Is floor repair the same as replacement?

No. Floor Repair keeps the existing slab and renews its surface. Replacement removes and rebuilds the concrete.

How long will floor repair last?

Service life depends on the existing concrete, preparation, exposure, drainage, use and whether underlying causes of deterioration continue.
